Great trip, fun people and good service. Special requests have been taken care of if feasible. Operating half a year from a remote location (Ebeye) it comes with some limitations, as one's favourite soda / beer brand / spice / fruit is not available. Diving was fantastic, safety briefings great, the guides very helpful. Would go again - if it wasn't a trip of 32 hours half around the planet to get to Ebeye! If you live in Asia or Westcoast US it is way easier.

I had an awesome time with like-minded fellow divers from all over the world. The trip was incredibly well organized and led and personalized. Everything from pre trip planning meetings all the way through to the end. Aron and Dirty Dozen Expeditions have this nailed and worth every penny. I can’t wait to go another expedition with them.

Kingo, it was such a pleasure. Following your journey the last 6 years and having the privilige to take you to Chuuk in 2022 - and now finally realizing your dream of seeing the IJN Nagato was just magical. Thank you for trusting us with your dream!!

It was an ok trip. The boat felt like it was from the 70s and needs some upgrades. The food on the trip needs a lot of work. Every meal had fried food and little to no healthy options. Even adding simple things like yogurt and granola for breakfast, a salad at lunch and dinner or other fresh veggies would be a welcome addition. The daily snack was always a sleeve of Pringles and some other kind of chip or popcorn. Lastly, customers traveling with lots of rebreather dive gear from all over the world having help with luggage would have been a godsend. Dive staff was fantastic. The team that helps with tanks clipping on and removing, getting you in/out of the water was the best experience I’ve had on any dive trip. The rest of the staff could learn from this level of service. To me there are many little things that could have been done to take this trip from ok to fantastic. Not sure customer service is a priority everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent trip to Bikini Atoll with Dirty Dozen Expeditions. Firstly, it was great to have you on board, and we enjoyed diving with you as part of the dive team. We’re sorry that you felt the food wasn’t up to the standard you expected. As discussed in the pre-trip planning meetings, the Marshall Islands is a remote, third-world country, and access to varied and nutritious food is challenging. Fresh fruit and vegetables are not grown locally and have to be imported by sea. In fact, all food supplies are delivered by a supply boat twice a month. This means there is a very limited range of items our team can purchase for preparing guest meals. This was highlighted prior to the trip, and we did advise guests to bring any essential food items with them that they felt they couldn't manage without. With this in mind, we think the chef on board does an excellent job of keeping our guests well fed throughout their time on the boat. We do really appriciate you highlighting it here though, for everyone to take note of as well. We were also surprised to hear that you felt unsupported with your luggage, especially as one of the boat team helped carry your bags between the boat and the ferry at the end of the trip. As with all ‘expedition diving’, team members generally manage and transport their own gear. In particular, for Bikini Atoll, it is not possible to have staff meet guests off the flight as you land on a military base with restricted access. We did discuss this during our pre-planning Zoom meetings and gave suggestions as to how to move gear around. However, we do acknowledge that having staff meet and walk with guests from the ferry to the hotel at the start of your expedition would be helpful, and we will work to improve this service for future expeditions. We hope that these elements of your trip did not detract from your overall enjoyment and positive experience in Bikini Atoll.
