What an amazing trip- Definitely a bucket list dive experience! Wrecks that are found nowhere else- USS Saratoga, IJN Nagato, and Prinz Eugen! Would highly recommend Dirty Dozen- great communication, nothing left to chance, and great team!!

With some trepidation, Laura and I booked this trip. Our concerns were: (1) would they cater to open circuit technical divers? (2) would there be a relaxed supportive and noncompetitive environment onboard? and (3) would they have the gases, in the quantities open circuit divers require for safe deep diving. The answer to all three questions is a resounding yes. Have no fear booking with the Dirty Dozen Expeditions (D2E). It was one of the best chartered technical trips we have been on - ever. I assure you it will be for you as well. They will exceed your expectations. Gill Flaherty of D2E was outstanding running the trip. She ensured we were safe our needs met and squeezed every ounce of fun out of the trip. Jill Heinerth, the expedition lead, was amazing, imparting her knowledge, experience and friendship. The Pacific Master (Taka) and crew were very experienced, helpful, and tended to our every need, again a culture of safety. Lastly the team members on the expedition. We may have been strangers when we arrived, we left as a family with durable friendships. The only regret is the duration between our last trip with D2E and our next one. Hopefully it will not be too long.

Dirty Dozen Expeditions run an amazing operation and I have been pleased to join them as a Special Guest for three trips. I love the small group friendships that develop through the trip. The Dirty Dozen Expeditions have safety and enjoyment as a top priority. By working from a liveaboard, we can enjoy comfort and a relaxed atmosphere to prep and check gear, then stagger the entries to minimize encountering others on the wreck. I truly appreciate the leisurely 4-5 hour surface interval between tec dives which further enhances safety and relaxation time. Operations Manager Gillian Flaherty served as our Expedition Leader on my most recent trip. She is exceptional in her leadership, kindness and excellence. Aron Armgrimson, Owner of DDE, was also quite active, visiting with the group on the first night and connecting through ZOOM during our trip. It is clear that the ownership and management are very hands-on and therefore understand the needs and nuances of a technical diving group.

We had rough weather to begin the trip with and it was blowing most days altering the dive plan. That said, we got to every wreck people wanted and the group was such a bunch of great people the weather could not dampen everyones spirits. We were entertained each evening with very interesting presentations and the dive briefings were so thorough that it made it simple to follow in your mind while exploring. The history given in the briefings made the dives even more exciting. Love the extra safety precautions the team subscribes to. Great culture of fun and I would not hesitate to book again.

Great time. Wonderful crew. Great people. Good expedition-type accommodation. OK food but plentiful.
